Unpacking a crazy 2026 co-driver market

The 2026 Repco Supercars Championship shifts into endurance mode across the next two events, as the battle for Finals berths comes to a head.

Across the AirTouch 500 at The Bend and the iconic Repco Bathurst 1000, a host of familiar faces, rising stars, and debutants will join the established stars as co-drivers.

The co-driver grid takes on a vastly different complexion year-on-year, with just six driver combinations remaining identical from 2025 to 2026.

That means there is a whole host of changes to get used to, with only two teams carrying the same co-drivers into the new season of endurance, and plenty of familiar faces in unfamiliar places.

After a co-driver market of mass changes, Supercars.com takes a look at what has changed over the last 12 months, before the season of endurance begins at The Bend from September 11-13.

Penrite Racing

2025: Garth Tander, Dale Wood

2026: Will Davison, Tim Slade

All change for the defending Bathurst winners. After winning his final career start, Garth Tander announced his retirement in November, shortly after Dale Wood departed. Tim Slade moves across from Matt Stone Racing, with Will Davison's place confirmed after his final starts with Dick Johnson Racing.

Red Bull Ampol Racing

2025: Jamie Whincup, Scott Pye; Craig Lowndes, Zach Bates (wildcard)

2026: Nick Percat, Scott Pye

In one of the biggest bombshells of the co-driver market, Jamie Whincup announced he would step away from the cockpit in November, though stopped short of retiring. Nick Percat was immediately confirmed as his replacement, whilst the Craig Lowndes wildcard program also departed, remaining loyal with Chevrolet.

Tickford Racing

2025: Mark Winterbottom, James Moffat; Rylan Gray, Lochie Dalton (wildcard)

2026: Mark Winterbotton, Reuben Goodall; Ben Gomersall, Campbell Logan (wildcard)

Tickford enduro stalwart James Moffat departed in November, with Super2 junior Reuben Goodall confirmed as his replacement prior to the pre-season test day. Goodall's Super2 teammates Ben Gomersall and Campbell Logan will pilot the third wildcard entry at The Bend, all alongside mentor Mark Winterbottom, who remains with Cam Waters.

Walkinshaw TWG Racing

2025: Fabian Coulthard, Jayden Ojeda

2026: Fabian Coulthard, Jaxon Evans

After starring alongside Ryan Wood last year, Jayden Ojeda was picked up by PremiAir Racing on a full-time basis for 2026. After news of SCT Motorsport's new link with Triple Eight, outcast Jaxon Evans was quickly snapped up as Wood's latest co-driver in early November, with Fabian Coulthard remaining alongside Chaz Mostert.

Shell V-Power Racing Team

2025/2026: Todd Hazelwood, Tony D'Alberto

One of a handful of teams with no changes, Todd Hazelwood was signed to a multi-year co-driving deal ahead of 2025, whilst Tony D'Alberto's services were retained in January alongside rookie Rylan Gray.

Team 18

2025: Harri Jones, Lee Holdsworth

2026: Lee Holdsworth, James Courtney; Craig Lowndes, Bayley Hall (wildcard)

Though Lee Holdsworth remains in Team 18, he shifts from David Reynolds to Anton De Pasquale's entry for 2026. That paved the way for James Courtney to join Reynolds with long-time backer Snowy River Caravans. The GM homologation team will also run the Craig Lowndes wildcard, with Bayley Hall the latest young gun in the hot seat.

Blanchard Racing Team

2025: Jack Perkins, Zak Best

2026: Richie Stanaway, Zak Best

Blanchard Racing Team might have landed one of the biggest coups of the co-driver market, with Jack Perkins making way for Richie Stanaway, who reunites with former teammate James Golding in a dark horse combination. Zak Best retains his seat alongside Aaron Cameron in the LIQUI MOLY BLAHST Ford.

Brad Jones Racing

2025: Declan Fraser, Brad Vaughan, Jordan Boys

2026: Bryce Fullwood, Brad Vaughan, Jordan Boys

With Declan Fraser snapped up by PremiAir Racing for a full-time return, Brad Jones Racing turned to a familar face in Bryce Fullwood to pair with Andre Heimgartner, Fullwood returning after being bumped out of the #14 BJR entry at the end of last season. Super2 youngster Brad Vaughan and Jordan Boys are also retained.

SCT Motorsport

2025: Jack Smith

2026: Jack Perkins

It's a new-look SCT Motorsport in 2026, who announced their move to Ford and Triple Eight technical support just after Bathurst last year. Jack Smith quietly vacates the co-driver role, with the vastly experienced Jack Perkins drafted in alongside Jackson Walls, who has never started a Supercars enduro.

Matt Stone Racing

2025: Cameron McLeod, Tim Slade; Cameron Crick, Aaron Seton (wildcard)

2026: Harri Jones, Aaron Seton

There was late drama in the Matt Stone Racing camp, after the announcements that 2025 wildcard co-drivers Cameron Crick and Aaron Seton would replace Tim Slade and Cameron McLeod. Crick was later ruled out due to ongoing health concerns, with Harri Jones handed a late lifeline alongside Jack Le Brocq.

PremiAir Racing

2025/2026: David Russell, Nash Morris

PremiAir are the second and final team to carry an unchanged co-driver line-up into 2026. Three-time Bathurst podium finisher David Russell joins Jayden Ojeda, and Nash Morris joins Declan Fraser.

Erebus Motorsport

2025: Jobe Stewart, Jarrod Hughes

2026: Lochie Dalton, Jarrod Hughes

Erebus Motorsport continue championing the next generation in 2026. Jobe Stewart was promoted to a full-time drive after his stellar co-driving performances last year, with Super2 standout Lochie Dalton taking his place alongside Cooper Murray. Erebus junior and Trans Am winner Jarrod Hughes remains in the #9 Camaro.

Garry Rogers Motorsport

2025: No entry

2026: Nathan Herne, James Moffat (wildcard)

One of the feel-good stories of 2026, the legend of Garry Rogers will be honoured as the iconic Garry Rogers Motorsport name returns to Bathurst. Trans Am champions Nathan Herne and James Moffat will drive the latest iteration of the iconic Valvoline Repco #34.
