Walkinshaw Andretti United pounces on Jaxon Evans with Enduro deal
Kiwi Evans will partner Ryan Wood in a powerhouse combination in 2026
Evans has raced solely for SCT Logistics/Brad Jones Racing in Supercars
Walkinshaw Andretti United has moved to sign Jaxon Evans alongside Ryan Wood in a powerhouse all-Kiwi Enduro Cup combination for 2026.
Just weeks after his exit from SCT Logistics/Brad Jones Racing was announced, Evans has been confirmed alongside countryman Wood for next season's endurance races.
Wood and Evans will share WAU's #2 Toyota GR Supra at the AirTouch 500 at The Bend and Repco Bathurst 1000.
It marks a formal return to co-driving for Evans, who partnered Jack Smith in 2022 and 2023 before taking the full-time reins of the BJR-run SCT Chevrolet.
After being initially tied to the Toyota-bound SCT Logistics entry, which has since shifted away from BJR and Toyota to Triple Eight Race Engineering and Ford, Evans will drive a Supra after all.
With Fabian Coulthard also confirmed alongside Chaz Mostert, WAU has now become the first team to announce its full roster for the 2026 Enduro Cup.

"I'm really excited to be joining Walkinshaw Andretti United for next year, alongside Ryan in the No. 2 Toyota GR Supra. It’s going to be an exciting year that’s for sure," 29-year-old said.
"The priority for me in 2026 was to put myself in a position to win races, and the opportunity to partner with Woody and the team for The Bend and Bathurst was the perfect fit... it was a no-brainer really.
"It's a bit of a full circle moment as well, my first drive of a Supercar was with the team in 2018, there's still a lot of familiar faces from that day that I know well, there are a lot of synergies with the team as well, so I won't be walking in somewhere completely foreign which is nice.
"I've got two rounds to go this year, which I really want to finish strongly, but it's awesome that a big piece of the puzzle is locked away for next year and beyond."
Wood and Jayden Ojeda were on track to win the Great Race last month before heartbreak got in the way. With Evans signing on, Wood will again have a star co-driver in his corner as he chases Bathurst redemption.
Beyond Supercars, Evans won the 2020 Porsche Carrera Cup France Championship and 2018 Porsche Carrera Cup Australia Championship, and finished runner-up in the 2025 GT World Challenge Australia Championship.
“We are thrilled to have Jaxon joining the Team alongside Ryan for the 2026 endurance season," WAU CEO Bruce Stewart said.
“Pairing Jaxon and Woody brings together two talented young Kiwis who we know will be a really exciting combination both on and off the track.
“Jaxon’s success across multiple categories speaks for itself, he’s a talented driver who’s shown he can jump into anything and be competitive. We’ve followed his career closely, we’ve seen his ability up close, so we jumped at the opportunity to bring him into our family from next year. They will be a formidable combination.
“It means Jaxon joins Fabian to complete our enduro line up. Fabian has done a fantastic job for us to date, and we have no doubts he and Chaz will be back with a vengeance next year, they’ve got unfinished business.”
Evans will complete the final two rounds aboard the SCT Chevrolet at Sandown and Adelaide this month.
