Tony D'Alberto locked in for 11th enduro campaign with Dick Johnson Racing
D'Alberto to team up with rookie teenager Rylan Gray
Todd Hazelwood to resume successful partnership with Brodie Kostecki
The Shell V-Power Racing Team have locked in an unchanged roster of co-drivers for the 2026 Ryco Enduro Cup, following confirmation that Tony D'Alberto will remain with the Ford squad.
D'Alberto will remain with the squad into an 11th consecutive enduro season, and will team up with rookie recruit Rylan Gray, who joins the team full-time after an impressive Super2 title win last season.
Todd Hazelwood also returns on the other side of the garage to resume his successful partnership with Brodie Kostecki, having joined DJR on a multi-year co-driving deal ahead of 2025.
40-year-old D'Alberto first joined the team as a co-driver in 2016, and has twice finished third in The Great Race, first with Fabian Coulthard in 2017, and with Anton De Pasquale in 2023.
Last year the popular veteran recorded a rare Bathurst DNF when he crashed just past the one-third race distance mark at Forrest's Elbow, with the popular Victorian eager to bounce back.
“It’s fair to say 2025 was a disappointing one for me personally and I’m eager to turn things around in 2026 with Rylan,” D’Alberto said.
“We’ve all seen the pace that Rylan had in his Super2 Series win and what he was able to do in his various wildcard outings last year.
"There’s obviously a bit of an age gap between us but I know I will be able to use my experience to help him succeed across the course of this season.
“I’m so proud to be part of the Shell V-Power Racing Team and continue working with such an iconic team in the paddock.
"Being part of Dick Johnson Racing continues to be an honour and for this partnership to continue into its 11th year is something special to me.
“I can’t wait for the pre-season testing to begin and of course will be counting down the days until the Enduro Cup begins in September.”
DJR Executive Chairman Dr Ryan Story AM also welcomed the renewal of D'Alberto, saying his wealth of experience will be hugely beneficial in 19-year-old Gray's first enduro campaign as a full-timer.
“Tony’s a great asset to the Shell V-Power Racing Team and we know that his experience, attitude and knowledge will be of huge benefit to all of us in 2026,” Dr Story said.
“This year’s enduro driver line up across both cars gives us the best possible chance of achieving something special in 2026.
"The stability and experience of Tony combined with the raw talent of Rylan will be a thrill to watch, while Brodie and Todd are a proven, race-winning pairing who will be eager to add their name to more silverware this season.”
The stable enduro line-up comes amid several off-track changes as DJR continue their rebuilding phase, whilst Kostecki has also been rumoured to adopt the famous #17 this season.
The 2026 Ryco Enduro Cup begins at the AirTouch 500 at The Bend from September 11-13.
Kostecki and Gray will commence their 2026 campaigns at the Sydney 500 from February 20-22. Tickets for the event, including free entry for the opening race of the season on Friday, February 20, are on sale now.
