With a bumper silly season comes a big change in driver/engineer combinations, with just nine line-ups carrying over into the 2024 Repco Supercars Championship.

While several engineers have remained at teams, they will have new drivers on the other side of the headphones when cars roll out at the Thrifty Bathurst 500.

However, that's not to say there hasn't been any change in the engineer ranks, either, especially for high-profile teams.

Andrew Edwards, who skippered Shane van Gisbergen in 2022 and 2023, will oversee Will Brown's first season with Red Bull Ampol Racing, with Martin Short to engineer Broc Feeney for a third season.

Ford rivals Shell V-Power Racing Team have seen one change, with Perry Kapper stepping into the hot seat alongside Anton De Pasquale, with Ludo Lacroix shifting to PremiAir Nulon Racing in a yet-to-be-confirmed role.

PremiAir Racing has brought the band back together for Tim Slade and Mirko De Rosa, who departed Blanchard Racing Team midway through 2024. Romy Mayer shifts to James Golding's entry.

Chaz Mostert will be led by former Tickford Racing engineer Sam Scaffidi, who replaced Mostert's long-time engineer Adam De Borre. Mark Winterbottom's sixth season at Team 18 will come with Som Sharma on his car, with David Reynolds picking up Scott Pye's engineer, Richard Hollway.

Then, there's Erebus Motorsport, which has retained George Commins and Tom Moore, who will engineer incoming drivers Todd Hazelwood and Jack Le Brocq, the former of which is standing in for champion Brodie Kostecki in Bathurst.

On the flip side, Brad Jones Racing is unchanged, with rookie Jaxon Evans also reuniting with Julian Stannard, who was the Kiwi's engineer for the 2023 enduros alongside Jack Smith.

Tickford Racing, meanwhile, may have downscaled to two cars, but has retained the Cam Waters/Sam Potter and Thomas Randle/Chris Stuckey pairings. Stuckey returns, having replaced Raymond Lau towards the end of 2023. Lau, meanwhile, will engineer James Courtney at BRT.

The new driver/engineer combos will be put to the test in Bathurst on February 23-25. Tickets are on sale on Supercars.com and Ticketek.com.
