2026 DUNLOP Super2 Series grid reaches 20 cars
13 entries officially unveiled, a further seven to be announced in coming fortnight
2026 season will begin at DUNLOP Sydney 500 from February 20-22
Momentum for the 2026 DUNLOP Super2 Series is building with 20 cars now entered for the opening round at the DUNLOP Sydney 500.
13 entries have been officially announced for the upcoming season, spilt across eight Ford Mustang GTs and five Holden Commodore ZBs, with another seven yet to be announced.
Tickford Autosport return with their four car effort, retaining the services of Nash Morris and Reuben Goodall, and signing new recruits Ben Gomersall and Campbell Logan.
Former Tickford driver Lochie Dalton will take on his old team at an expanded Blanchard Racing Team operation, alongside incumbent Bailey Sweeny.
Three-time series runner-up Zak Best returns to Anderson Motorsport, who will be further strengthened by the addition of Ludo Lacroix as Competition Director and Best's engineer. Teenager Ryan Tomsett continues in their second Mustang.
On the Holden side, Matt Stone Racing return to the development series, running Kiwi Ayrton Hodson and former FIA Formula 3 and Indy NXT driver Tommy Smith.
MSR will also be assisting rising female star Alice Buckley in a satellite operation, with the reigning Toyota GAZOO Racing Australia Scholarship Series champion set to become the first woman since 2023 to compete in Super2 full-time.
After finishing as top Holden last year, Brad Vaughan returns for a second year at Brad Jones Racing, and will be joined by new recruit Matt Hillyer.
Supercars.com can reveal that Eggleston Motorsport (four cars), Matt Chahda Motorsport (two cars), and Masterton Motorsports (one car) will join them on the grid at Sydney Motorsport Park.
"We are pleased with how the grid is building up ahead of Round 1 of the 2026 DUNLOP Super2 Series," Category Manager Jason Routley said.
"With a strong mix of main game Supercars teams and privateer operations, we are confident that this field will produce another great season, and some stars of the future."
The 2025 DUNLOP Super2 Series was won by Rylan Gray, who will make his full-time Supercars debut in Sydney driving for Dick Johnson Racing.
Four drivers from last year's Super2 field will graduate to the Repco Supercars Championship this year; Gray, Zach Bates (Matt Stone Racing), Jobe Stewart (Erebus Motorsport), and Jackson Walls (SCT Motorsport).
Second year rookies Kai Allen, Cooper Murray, Declan Fraser, and Aaron Cameron are also Super2 products, as is first year rookie Jayden Ojeda, who last contested Super2 in 2021.
Routley added: "Having seven drivers graduate to the Repco Supercars Championship full-time in the last two years shows how strong a pathway the DUNLOP Super2 Series is for young drivers.
"We wish them all the best in their Supercars careers, and hope to see some of this year's grid join them in 2027."
Round 1 of the 2026 DUNLOP Super2 Series will be held at the DUNLOP Sydney 500 from February 20-22. Tickets for the event are on sale now.
