  • Supercars builds powerful momentum in 2026 with record growth

  • Attendance, broadcast viewership, website, app and social media all up

  • 2026 Supercars season resumes in Tasmania this weekend

Supercars is carrying strong momentum into 2026, with record growth across trackside attendance, broadcast viewership, digital engagement and global reach.

The Repco Supercars Championship’s momentum is being reflected across every major fan indicator, with attendance up 38%, cross-platform viewing reaching 14.5 million hours watched, and Supercars’ social audience growing to 2.9 million followers.

Together, the results show a sport expanding its reach, deepening fan engagement and building stronger relevance in Australia and internationally.

Key growth highlights include:

  • Trackside fans up 38% in attendance

  • Cross-platform viewing hits 14.5 million hours watched

  • Social audience grows to 2.9 million followers, up 21.4%

  • Video views climb to 31.6 million

  • Earned media reach jumps up 75%

The strength of that growth underlines Supercars’ increasing relevance across trackside, broadcast, digital and earned media, with momentum translating into broader reach, deeper engagement and rising international interest.

It reinforces the championship’s position as one of the world’s premier motorsport categories and one of the region’s fastest-growing sports properties.

Supercars Chairman and Interim CEO Barclay Nettlefold said the results reflect a championship building real momentum across every touchpoint.

“These results show strong momentum across every part of the championship — from trackside attendance to broadcast audiences, digital engagement and growing international interest,” Nettlefold said.

“Fans are responding to what they’re seeing: highly competitive racing, genuine rivalries and drivers who are connecting with audiences in powerful ways, both on and off the track.

“We’re also seeing the impact of the work being done across our broadcast, digital and events teams to bring Supercars to more people, in more places, in more ways than ever before.

“That momentum is giving us a strong platform for the rest of 2026, and we’re focused on continuing to grow the championship, deepen fan connection and build on what is already shaping as a standout year for Supercars.”

With momentum building across attendance, audiences, digital engagement and media reach, Supercars heads into the next phase of the 2026 season with growing fan demand, stronger relevance and a clear platform for further growth.
