Erebus confirms Kostecki co-driver, secures backing

Brodie Kostecki and Todd Hazelwood will combine at this year's Penrite Oil Sandown 500 and Repco Bathurst 1000, Erebus Motorsport has confirmed.

In a statement released Thursday, Erebus announced TFH Hire Services branding will be a permanent fixture on Kostecki's #1 Chevrolet Camaro for the rest of the 2024 season.

The team also confirmed that Hazelwood, who substituted for Kostecki at the first two rounds of the season, will link up with Kostecki at Sandown and Bathurst.

The Kostecki/Hazelwood combination is the 14th pairing to be locked in for this year's enduros. The Penrite Oil Sandown 500 will open the 2024 enduro season on September 13-15, before the Repco Bathurst 1000 on October 10-13.

Hazelwood is Kostecki's first new co-driver since 2021, with David Russell signing with PremiAir Nulon Racing alongside James Golding.

In the release, Erebus said TFH Hire Services had initially signed on as primary partner for the first three rounds of the season. Both Erebus Camaros have carried TFH branding since the season-opening Thrifty Bathurst 500.

TFH branding will now remain on Kostecki's car for the remaining nine rounds, with the Supercars champion to carry TFH colours in a Trans Am cameo alongside Hazelwood at The Bend later this month.

“We were thrilled to welcome TFH and the whole TFH Racing team as part of the Erebus family when they jumped on board ahead of Bathurst and their support this year has been invaluable,” Erebus CEO Barry Ryan said.

“Brett [Thomas] and the entire team at TFH are doing so much across many levels of motorsport in this country right now and the level of support TFH Racing is giving to grassroots categories is phenomenal.

“We recognised from the beginning that their primary focus is in grassroots racing. To have the chance to amplify their brand among Supercars fans and witness the growth and everything they are achieving has been remarkable.”

TFH Hire Services CEO Thomas added: "Having Brodie join Todd and Josh in Trans Am is going to be awesome and we’re looking forward to continuing to grow the relationship with everyone at Erebus this year."
