Kelly Racing announces Cameron McLeod Super2 deal

Mason Kelly returns for second season in Super2 Series
Rising star Cameron McLeod will join returning driver Mason Kelly in a new-look Kelly Racing line-up for the 2025 Super2 Series.
Third-generation racer McLeod will replace Aaron Cameron at the Melbourne squad, with Kelly junior returning for a second season in Super2.
McLeod joins Kelly Racing in the wake of a standout season for the team, which finished second in the Super2 standings with Cameron last year.
McLeod, who made his Supercars debut in last year's enduros with Tim Slade and PremiAir Racing, will drive the same Ford Mustang that Cameron carried to two race wins last year.
Cameron's Mustang will be prepared and transported by Kelly Racing, while RM Motorsport and experienced engineer Wally Storey will oversee the car at all six rounds.
The livery and sponsors of McLeod’s Ford will be announced prior to Kelly Racing's first test at Winton Motor Raceway on February 12, before the season starts at Sydney Motorsport Park on February 21-23.
“I did Super3 with Kelly Racing back in 2023, so there's nothing new coming here, except for the car,” McLeod said.
“The whole Kelly Racing crew do an awesome job on running and prepping the cars, so it was no-brainer to take up the opportunity to join the team.
“The car had an excellent season last year, so it gives me heaps of confidence knowing the car is in good form and the Kelly Racing squad take good care of them as well. It's going to be a great year."
Kelly, son of 2005 Bathurst winner Todd, will also carry Fletcher Insulation backing for the entire campaign.
The young driver added: “I’m feeling more confident heading into the second season.
“We’ve ironed out some of the bugs we had last year and I’ll be working hard to have a good, clean season. And maybe some trophies.
“We learnt a lot about the Mustang package and how to get speed out of it. Obviously, Aaron [Cameron] had a lot of success towards the end of the year, so hopefully we can keep that form going into 2025.
“My aim for the season is to maximise every weekend we have and each opportunity that comes my way.”
Tickets for the season-opening round in Sydney, on February 21-23, are on sale now.
