Supercars and Hino celebrate 10 years of partnership
Partnership has showcased Hino’s commitment to safety, innovation, performance
Supercars and Hino first joined forces in 2016
Supercars and Hino Australia have marked a decade of partnership that has become one of the category’s most enduring and recognisable alliances.
Since first joining forces in 2016, Hino has played an integral role in the championship, serving as the Official Light & Medium Duty Truck Sponsor for the Repco Supercars Championship, and as the naming partner of the Supercars Recovery Team at Supercars‑promoted events.
Across the past decade, the partnership has showcased Hino’s commitment to safety, innovation and performance through initiatives such as the 300 Series Hybrid Electric Truck — introduced into the Supercars Recovery Team fleet in 2024 — supporting both Supercars’ sustainability goals and Hino’s leadership in hybrid‑electric commercial vehicles.
Trackside, fans have embraced Hino’s presence through the popular Hino Sports Deck, which offers elevated, panoramic views at key events, and the long‑running Hino Hub broadcast segment now a staple of Supercars coverage.
Richard Emery, President and CEO of Hino Australia, said celebrating a decade with Supercars is a significant moment for the brand.
“Reaching the 10‑year mark with Supercars is something we’re extremely proud of,” Emery said.
“Supercars provides an unparalleled platform to build strong national awareness while driving product engagement at a local level through on-track activation.
“We continue to see strong alignment in our customer base, our shared commitment to safety and technology, and it is a valuable program for strengthening relationships with existing customers while connecting with new ones.
“The Hino Hub has become a broadcast favourite, and our involvement with the Supercars Recovery Team, demonstrates our ongoing commitment to safety, both on the track and in our trucks.
“We look forward to building on this legacy and continuing to deliver value for fans, customers and our dealer network.”
Supercars Chief Revenue Officer Jamie Black acknowledged Hino’s long‑standing contribution to the championship.
“Hino has been a valued partner of Supercars for a decade, and we are thrilled to celebrate this milestone together,” Black said.
“Their support has helped elevate our fan experience at the track and at home, with initiatives like the Hino Sports Deck and the Hino Hub becoming iconic features of our events.
"We look forward to continuing this exceptional partnership for many years to come.”
Supercars and Hino will celebrate the anniversary throughout the 2026 season with special fan activations, content features and event experiences recognising the milestone.
The 2026 Repco Supercars Championship begins February 20–22 at the Sydney 500, with three action‑packed days of racing under lights at Sydney Motorsport Park.
