Supercars, DUNLOP ink five-year partnership extension
DUNLOP to take naming rights of 2026 season opening Sydney 500, including DUNLOP Free Friday with free General Admission
DUNLOP continues as the supply naming rights partner of the DUNLOP Super2 Series
Supercars has announced a five-year extension with DUNLOP, which will see the iconic tyre brand continue as the Official Tyre Sponsor and Supplier of the Repco Supercars Championship through at least 2030.
DUNLOP will also serve as the naming rights partner of the opening event of the 2026 Supercars season at Sydney Motorsport Park, to be known as the DUNLOP Sydney 500.
The event will feature Supercars racing on all three days of the event February 20-22. Friday of the event – which will include the first Supercars race for the Toyota GR Supra – will be known as DUNLOP Free Friday, with free General Admission on offer to fans.
DUNLOP will also continue as the supply and naming rights partner of the DUNLOP Super2 Series, which it has held dating back to 2012.
The renewed agreement strengthens DUNLOP’s presence across the Championship, reinforcing its commitment to both marquee events and the next generation of racing talent.
First joining the championship as the Official Tyre Supplier in 2002, this extension will see DUNLOP’s partnership with Supercars surpass a quarter of a century during the term of the latest extension.
Supercars Chief Executive James Warburton said the extension reflects DUNLOP’s integral role in the sport.
“DUNLOP has been a cornerstone of Supercars for more than 20 years, and this new agreement ensures that partnership continues well into the future,” Warburton said.
“We are delighted to see DUNLOP’s continued support of Supercars and the Super2 Series, and are excited to introduce DUNLOP Free Friday to kick off the 2026 season at the DUNLOP Sydney 500.”
In 2025, DUNLOP produced an all-new Soft tyre compound to the Championship, to near unanimous praise.
The DUNLOP Sport Maxx tyre has been lauded as a contributing factor to the intense on-track action seen throughout the 2025 Repco Supercars Championship season.
Koji Fukuhara, Managing Director – DUNLOP TYRE AUSTRALIA, said the partnership highlights DUNLOP’s commitment to performance and innovation.
“We are proud to continue our relationship with Supercars as the Official Tyre Sponsor and Supplier,” Fukuhara said.
“This partnership allows us to showcase DUNLOP’s reliability and performance on Australasia’s biggest racing stage while engaging fans through initiatives like DUNLOP Free Friday and supporting future stars via the DUNLOP Super2 Series.”
The extended agreement underscores DUNLOP’s commitment to Australian motorsport, ensuring the Repco Supercars Championship remains among the most competitive and exciting racing series in the world.
