Broc Feeney, Chaz Mostert flat out in Supercars, 12 Hour crossover
Supercars superstars completing double duties with a twist this weekend
Mostert, Feeney lapping Supercars in demonstration sessions
Reigning Repco Supercars Champion Chaz Mostert and Broc Feeney are completing double duties with a twist at the Meguiar's Bathurst 12 Hour.
Mostert, Feeney, and Anton De Pasquale are all partaking in Supercars demonstration sessions this weekend, doubling as an opportunity for Supercars to evaluate the engines of all three manufacturers ahead of the 2026 season.
Feeney and Mostert are also competing for outright honours in the 12 Hour driving for Ford and Mercedes respectively, whilst De Pasquale will only complete the demonstration laps in his Team 18 Camaro.
Such it was that immediately after the opening practice session of the 12 Hour, which was topped by reigning champions Team WRT BMW, Feeney and Mostert jumped straight into their brand new Ford Mustang and Toyota GR Supra respectively.
“It's been a pretty busy morning. I jumped out of the Mustang GT3 car and ran down here and jumped in the Supercar,” Feeney told media on Friday.
“We've just made the switch to Ford. So for our team, there's been a lot going on, but exciting to do my first lap here in a Ford Mustang in the Gen3 car, so all went well.
“Obviously we're not really trying too much here this weekend. It's just about all three manufacturers running and trying to learn. But for me, it's always good to do more laps.”
Feeney put on a show for the fans at Mount Panorama in his more familiar Supercars surrounding, even getting the tail out at the exit of The Chase on his brand-new Red Bull Ampol Racing Mustang.
Despite his focus being on Ford's maiden assault on the 12 Hour in it's GT3 era, Feeney said that the chance to drive a Supercar around Bathurst, and get more familiarity with the Ford Supercars package, was too good to pass up.
“Look, I certainly didn't wanna turn down the opportunity to do more Supercar laps," Feeney said.
“It was my first ever time driving the GT3 this morning and it is very different. So I certainly jumped in something more familiar to myself here.
"12 Hour is one of my favourite events of the year. It's always so much fun and actually just learning a new car and a new team, people, it's a great opportunity to try and improve myself."
Feeney joins former 12 Hour winners Dennis Olsen and Christopher Mies in the #64 HRT Ford Racing Mustang, whilst Mostert joins Tickford pairing Cam Waters and Thomas Randle in the #222 Scott Taylor Motorsport Mercedes.

Having never driven the GT3-spec Mustang before this morning's opening session, Feeney is adamant that he can be in the fight for victory on Sunday afternoon
“We're here to win this weekend, don't get me wrong,” Feeney said.
“For me, it's hard to really set too many expectations before even driving the car. So. It's a 12 hour race. You don't have to have the fastest car, you just gotta have a reliable one and, and finish the race.
“One of my big goals is to win the 12 Hour. So yeah, I mean, I'd obviously love to tick that off this year, but I've been trying for a few years and this year it's so competitive.
"There's so many European, global teams here this weekend, and it's just exciting to be part of it."
Practice 3 at the Meguiar's Bathurst 12 Hour begins at 2:10pm local time.
