Brad Jones pens open letter ahead of "emotional" weekend
Toyota-bound BJR to downsize from four to three cars in 2026
Bryce Fullwood, Jaxon Evans also departing the Albury team
Brad Jones has penned an open letter to fans of his team ahead of an “emotional” weekend for the Albury squad.
Brad Jones Racing wil shift from Chevrolet to Toyota in 2026, but downsizes from four to three cars, with Bryce Fullwood and Jaxon Evans departing.
BJR has run a four-car model since 2021, but will run three Supras in 2026 for Andre Heimgartner, Macauley Jones and recruit Cameron Hill.
The SCT Logistics Teams Racing Charter has moved to Triple Eight Race Engineering, with Jackson Walls installed as driver.
Speaking ahead of Adelaide, Jones paid tribute to Fullwood and Evans, as well as Heimgartner, who brings up 300 Supercars races.

BJR itself will also record its 350th championship round this weekend.
Jones also insisted he has no plans to downsize his staff, writing: “The four-car model has served us well over the past five years and we’ve gained so much from that structure.
“As we shift to a three-car program, I want to emphasise that we remain committed to maintaining the same level of personnel.
“That is extremely important to me personally.”
Fullwood joined BJR in 2022, and claimed podiums in Tasmania in 2024 and 2025.
“Parting ways is never easy, especially with someone as genuine and friendly as Bryce,” Jones continues.
“We’ve shared some great years together and I’ll always remember our two podiums with him behind the wheel.”
While Fullwood has yet to secure a 2026 co-drive, Evans has been locked in at Walkinshaw Andretti United.
"Our team has genuinely enjoyed working with Jaxon over the past two seasons. He’s a true professional who understands what it takes to succeed in motorsport,” Jones added.
“We wish him nothing but the best as he moves into a co-driving role next year.”
After debuting as a Ford team in 2008, BJR has raced General Motors machinery since 2008, claiming all 15 wins with GM.
“Since switching from Ford to Holden in 2008 we’ve raced Commodores and Camaros and built countless memories with the brand,” Jones said.
“While we’re excited about our future with Toyota it’s important to pause and appreciate the journey that brought us here.”
