Bryce Fullwood admits Supercars future uncertain
Fullwood admits he has "no idea" where he will end up in 2026
Darwin-born driver has raced with BJR since 2022
Off-contract Brad Jones Racing driver Bryce Fullwood admits he has "no idea" where he will end up in 2026.
Fullwood joined BJR in 2022 after a two-year stint at Walkinshaw Andretti United, and is currently 14th in the championship standings with one Sprint Cup round remaining.
The 2019 Super2 champion is one of several drivers yet to lock in 2026 plans, but should he continue his solid form and secure a Finals berth, Fullwood's stocks may rise.
Of drivers ranked between seventh and 17th in the points, Fullwood has the second best average race finish across the last three rounds, just behind Anton De Pasquale and ahead of teammate Andre Heimgartner.
When asked on the Race for the Championship podcast about 2026, Fullwood said: “I’ll tell you straight – I’ve got no idea.

“It’s that time of year, it’s no secret, I’m up for contract this year with Brad, but I have absolutely no idea what’s going to happen.
“There’s lots of things going on in the background. For me, it’s most important to find myself the most competitive seat I can, and obviously be on the grid in ’26.
“What that looks like this very second, I am not sure. I wish I knew, but I don’t. Unfortunately that’s the reality."
Fullwood has six top 10s in his last nine starts, and scored a surprise podium at Symmons Plains in May.
On paper, Fullwood is coming for his rivals in the chase for a Finals berth, but that's as far as it goes for the Darwin-born driver.
“The sales pitch is results, right? We’re doing the best we can, as we do every week anyway," he added.
BJR, Matt Stone Racing, Team 18, PremiAir Racing, Erebus Motorsport and the Blanchard Racing Team have at least one seat unconfirmed for next season.

Heimgartner is the only driver formally announced at BJR for 2026, with the Albury squad shifting from General Motors to Toyota next season.
Fullwood has raced GM machinery for the entirety of his Supercars career, and said Toyota is an "unknown", albeit an "exciting" one.
The Territorian carried Middy's Electrical naming rights full-time between 2020 and 2024, before racing under a rotating sponsor basis this season.
“It’s that time of year, right? Everyone has to do their due diligence on everybody,” Fullwood said.
“I’m sure Brad’s talking plenty of people. I’m talking to plenty of people. It’s just how the cookie crumbles in our sport.”
The 2025 season resumes at the Century Batteries Ipswich Super 440 from August 8-10. Tickets are on sale now. International viewers can watch the action on SuperView.
