Walkinshaw Andretti United has completed its suite of 2024 liveries, unveiling star driver Chaz Mostert’s new-look Mobil 1 Optus Ford.

Mostert returns for a fifth season with WAU, and second since the team joined Ford last year.

The familiar white and teal of co-naming rights partner Optus returns, as does Mobil 1 branding on the bonnet in what is the company’s 31st season with the team dating back to 1994.

The Mostert livery reveal comes after WAU unveiled the first livery of 2024 for incoming rookie Ryan Wood, who will race with Mobil 1 and Truck Assist colours this year.

The Mobil 1 Optus livery, brought to life by PPG and Signzone, also features branding of Morris, Chemical Guys, Ford Performance, Goodyear Autocare, Supercheap Auto, Corestaff, Kangan Institute, Move My Wheels, Palm Trans, PPG, RT Health, Coates, Thetford, Lloyds Auctions, Anthem Workwear, Woodstock Bourbon, Raceline Racewear, OMP, Authentic Collectables, Acronis, Think Technology, Lancaster Ford, Muswellbrook Ford, Oakley, Stratasys, TCL Hoffman, TPF Sports, Drummond Golf, Walkinshaw Sports, East Coast Lubes, Durban Landscapes & Garden Maintenance and Design Ears.

Two-time Bathurst winner Mostert finished fourth overall in 2023 despite going winless, emerging as one of the most consistent drivers in Supercars.

“The Mobil 1 Optus Racing No. 25 Mustang looks awesome, we’ve thrown a bit more colour on it this year, but it’s nice and clean which I love,” Mostert said.

“Getting to drive the Mobil 1 Optus Racing Ford Performance Mustang, and representing all the incredible partners we have in this team is something I don’t take for granted, it’s a family here, and that extends to the support we get from all of them, so I’m looking forward to a big 2024 together.

“We’ve had a great off-season, the guys and girls have worked around the clock to get us ready for what’s ahead, so I can’t wait to get stuck into the year, starting with the first test day and of course heading back to the Mountain."

WAU CEO Bruce Stewart added: “It’s a great day for our team as we reveal both our Ford Performance Mustangs for 2024, the Mobil 1 Optus Racing No. 25 looks incredible.

“Ensuring the synergy between both cars was a priority for us, we are one team, one family and these liveries embody that.

“As mentioned earlier today, the support from our amazing partners has enabled us to be where we are today. To have Mobil 1 back for their 31st year is incredible, but to also represent Optus who we have such a powerful relationship with, we are very lucky to be connected to such a great team.

“The hard work doesn’t stop here, the season really kicks into gear for us now, we are eagerly anticipating Round 1. This should be a very exciting year for the team, we have a big few weeks ahead of us so it’s eyes forward.”

Brad Phillips, Ampol’s General Manager Business to Business, added: “We are immensely proud to celebrate 31 years of technical collaboration with Walkinshaw Andretti United.

“Our partnership has been built on a shared commitment to innovation, performance, and a relentless pursuit of victory. As we embark on the 2024 Supercars Championship season, Mobil 1 is excited to continue supporting Walkinshaw Andretti United in their quest for greatness and to introduce our expanded lubricant range through Supercheap Auto, further solidifying our dedication to motoring enthusiasts Australia wide.

“As we celebrate this remarkable milestone in our enduring partnership, Mobil 1 is not only commemorating 31 years of success with Walkinshaw Andretti United but also revelling in 50 years of supporting local and global race teams in their quest for championship glory.

"This golden jubilee underscores Mobil 1's unwavering commitment to the world of motorsports and its dedication to enhancing performance on and off the track.”

Mostert and Wood will get behind the wheel of their Fords at the pre-season test day at Winton Motor Raceway on Wednesday February 7.
