Famous PremiAir Bathurst Camaro hits the track in pre-NZ test
New-look PremiAir Chevrolet rolls out for test amid field’s journey to NZ
Jayden Ojeda completed first of two allotted rookie tests
PremiAir Racing’s new look has hit the track on the team’s spare chassis, which infamously took the flag first in Bathurst last year.
Jayden Ojeda rolled out for a rookie test at Queensland Raceway on Monday, in what was a rare piece of track action amid the voyage to New Zealand.
The full fleet of 24 Supercars are currently on their way to New Zealand for the upcoming ITM NZ Double Header, which commences on April 10-12 in Taupō.
With Ojeda’s race car part of the NZ-bound fleet, PremiAir reskinned its spare Chevrolet in its new livery, which will debut in New Zealand.
PremiAir was given the nod to undertake a rookie day for Ojeda, who flew from Phillip Island to Queensland to undertake the test.
Ojeda commenced his GT World Challenge Australia campaign with Mercedes-AMG squad Tigani Motorsport at Phillip Island last weekend, and duly won Sunday’s race.
Sydney-born Ojeda, who sits 16th in points after Round 2, completed over 100 laps of Queensland Raceway in what may prove a highly beneficial test before New Zealand.
PremiAir opted to wait before handing Ojeda the first of two allotted rookie tests for the season. Rylan Gray, Jackson Walls, Jobe Stewart and Zach Bates all competed a rookie test in February in the final weeks of pre-season.
Declan Fraser, meanwhile, has one rookie test day allocated to him per the rules, as he previously completed a full season in 2023.

For Monday’s test, PremiAir deployed chassis 888A-059, which crossed the line first in last October’s dramatic Repco Bathurst 1000.
James Golding raced 888A-059 between 2023 and 2025, with the chassis parked after the 2025 Adelaide season finale.
It's most notable moment came in last year's Great Race, however, with Golding penalised over a clash with Erebus Motorsport's Cooper Murray while disputing the race lead with five laps to go.
Golding was awarded a time penalty, but retook the lead from Matt Payne on the final lap. Golding crossed the line first, but the penalty pushed him back to third, promoting Payne to victory.
Ojeda contested the first two rounds in chassis 888A-064, while PremiAir brought 888A-062 — which was raced by Tim Slade in 2023 — online for Fraser.
