Ludo Lacroix makes surprise PremiAir Racing return
Lacroix initially departed Peter Xiberras-owned team last year
Lacroix rejoins this season in a 'part-time consultancy role'
Ludo Lacroix will be part of the PremiAir Racing family after all in 2026.
The technical whiz will remain involved with the Peter Xiberras-owned team this season in a 'part-time consultancy role’.
The Frenchman’s exit from the team was announced late last year, with Lacroix joining from Dick Johnson Racing as Competition Director.
Coincidentally, former Triple Eight colleague Roland Dane has since arrived as Team Principal, and will reunite with Lacroix after 10 years.
"We’re pleased to welcome Ludo Lacroix back to PremiAir Racing for the 2026 Supercars season,” the team said.
"Joining us in a part-time consultancy role, Ludo’s technical insight and experience will be a valuable addition as we continue building for success.”
At the time of his initial exit, Lacroix insisted he was not "walking away" and that he was "leaving on good terms," but said claiming two podiums in two years wasn't enough.
He added that he was also feeling the strain of the 90-minute commute from his Brisbane home to the team’s Gold Coast workshop.
Lacroix will juggle his PremiAir role with his new post at Super2 squad Anderson Motorsport.
Anderson Motorsport signed Lacroix as Competition Director and Zak Best's engineer.
