Blanchard Racing Team Mustang goes pink for special cause
Aaron Cameron’s LIQUI MOLY BLAHST Racing Ford trades red for pink
Cameron’s No. 1 mechanic lost mother-in-law to cancer
The Blanchard Racing Team has become the latest team to recognise Breast Cancer Awareness Month, while honouring a story close to the team.
Aaron Cameron’s #3 LIQUI MOLY BLAHST Racing Ford Mustang will trade red for pink at this weekend’s Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500.
The Cameron Ford will also sport a pink ribbon on the bonnet. The sister BRT Ford of James Golding has undergone a livery change, marking naming rights parner Dayco.
The cancer awareness cause is close to home for Cameron’s No. 1 mechanic Josh Williams, whose mother-in-law Michelle passed away in February 2019 after a battle with cancer.

She was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer in 2002 at the age of 37, undergoing a mastectomy, chemotherapy and radiation therapy. After suffering a seizure in 2017, she was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer.
Determined to meet her grandchildren, Michelle defied an initial outlook of six to nine months, before passing away, aged 54.
Penrite Racing and Team 18 driver David Reynolds are also recognising the initiative.
“Josh is the first and last person I see getting in and out of the car, so knowing what this means to him and his family makes it pretty special,” Cameron said.
"Hopefully the pink car gets people talking. If it reminds even a few people to look after themselves or check in on someone, that means more than any result we get this weekend.”
Williams — who dyed his hair pink — added: “You spend every weekend working on this car, but you don’t expect it to become something this personal.
"Michelle was so determined right to the end, and the fact the whole team has got behind this means a lot to me and the family. It’s a pretty special group to be part of.”
The new look LIQUI MOLY BLAHST Racing Ford hits the track on Friday.
