Pink for Penrite Racing Fords at Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500
Both Penrite cars add pink as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Matt Payne first, Kai Allen fifth in points heading to GC500
Penrite Racing has added a splash of pink to their two Ford Mustangs for the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Both championship leader Matt Payne and sophomore Kai Allen will take to Surfers Paradise in slightly tweaked liveries, raising money for breast care nurses.
The team's base Bathurst livery remains, promoting the wider Penrite Automotive range of products, however pink accents are now added to both the side skirts and the bonnet.
Earlier in the week the team revealed fresh overalls and gloves in partnership with Snap-On Tools' Socket to Breast Cancer Campaign, which will be auctioned off post-event. Proceeds go to the McGrath Foundation.
Penrite Racing aren't the only Ford team to be running with pink breast cancer awareness colours on the Gold Coast, the Blanchard Racing Team's Aaron Cameron also set to run a revised look.
Payne enters the Gold Coast with a five-point lead over Broc Feeney, whilst Allen sits fifth in points, clear of the cut-line by 27 points.
On-track action begins on Friday with two practice sessions and Boost Mobile Qualifying.
