Seton Supercars unite for special launch

Aaron Seton has relaunched his special look wildcard Camaro, which has been sat alongside his father Glenn’s famous Falcon.

Third-generation racer Aaron will return to the Supercars grid at the upcoming Century Batteries Ipswich Super 440, steering a third Matt Stone Racing Chevrolet.

Seton has thrown into the deep end at the NTI Townsville 500 in place of Cameron Crick, who was recently ruled out of the enduros.

In a special launch ahead of the upcoming Ipswich round, Aaron put his #30 Camaro next to his father’s 1993 title-winning Falcon at Tony Longhurst's The Boat Works.

Longhurst, twice a Bathurst 1000 winner, is backing Aaron’s Ipswich event, with The Boat Works branding adorning the front of the MSR Chevrolet.

The launch took place at the Coomera Marine facility, hosted within Longhurst’s private vintage and retro car collection at Garage 25.

It brings the Seton and Longhurst back together, with Aaron Seton, Longhurst and Matt Brabham sharing a BMW M4 GT4 at the 2018 Bathurst 12 Hour, securing class victory.

“Tony understands racing from a driver’s perspective and knows what it takes to compete at this level, so having his support and The Boat Works behind me means a lot,” Aaron Seton said.

“We’ve already shared some great racing memories together and hopefully there are plenty more ahead.

“Having Dad there for the unveiling and seeing the Peter Jackson car alongside my Supercar was also pretty special. I’m extremely grateful to everyone who came out and to The Boat Works for supporting the next stage of my career.”

Longhurst added: "Motorsport has given me some incredible opportunities over the years, and I know first-hand how important it is for emerging drivers to have the right support behind them as they build their careers.

"Aaron has tremendous ability and he’s worked hard to earn these opportunities. If we can play a part in helping an emerging Australian driver take that next step, then we’re very proud to do it.”
