WAU reveals Chaz Mostert's new-look 2025 livery
Mobil 1 and Optus colours returning on Mostert Mustang
WAU to contest 2025 in Fords before switching to Toyota
Chaz Mostert’s new-look 2025 livery has been uncovered by Walkinshaw Andretti United, with Mobil 1 and Optus colours returning with the two-time Bathurst winner.
The Mostert reveal completes WAU’s 2025 livery suite, with the Mobil 1 Optus Ford revealed one hour after the covers were lifted off Ryan Wood’s Ford Mustang.
Teal and black again returns on a Mostert WAU car for a sixth straight season, with Optus first taking co-naming rights on the #25 in 2022.
Mostert and Wood began 2024 in primarily white liveries, before WAU opted to run black liveries for the final seven rounds of the season.
The team’s 2025 cars will be WAU’s last Fords for the foreseeable future, with the Melbourne team running Toyota GR Supras from the beginning of 2026.
PPG, Spicers and Signzone brought both WAU Mustang liveries to life, with Morris, Chemical Guys, Niterra Australia, Ford Performance, Supercheap Auto, Corestaff, Kangan Institute, Move My Wheels, Palm Trans, Coates, Thetford, Lloyds Auctions, Anthem Workwear, Raceline Racewear, OMP, Authentic Collectables, Acronis, Think Technology, Oakley, Stratasys, TPF Sports, East Coast Lubes and Design Ears also returning.
WAU also welcomes Loctite, Employment Hero and Under Armour.
“The fans loved the black livery on the Mobil 1 Optus Racing No. 25 last year and we just had to keep it for them again this year,” Mostert said.
"We’ve added a bit more colour which really makes the car pop, it’s an enhanced version of the ’24 car and I can’t wait for everyone to see it in person.
“I think one of the most pleasing things for me every year is to see how many partners we have that have continued on with our team, there’s so much loyalty all across the car, whether it’s Mobil 1 and Optus, but also Morris who have been around for 15 years this year, Niterra returning, it’s just really cool to feel that support each year.
“The team has worked extremely hard during the off season, yet again, it’s about time we head out on track and show this bad boy off! It’s going to be a big year, Car 25 in ’25 has a pretty good ring to it, so we are all pretty keen to make it one to remember.”
WAU CEO Bruce Stewart said: "It’s great to remove the covers of both our Ford Performance Mustang’s for 2025, the Mobil 1 Optus Racing No. 25 looks impeccable. Black is back, which was an overwhelming response from the fans, it’s always cool to see that passion.
“Once again, it’s amazing to have the support of our extensive partner network who are essential to how we go racing. Our relationship with Mobil 1 goes back an incredible 32 years, Optus have been a great partner for our team and Chaz, and do some really important things on and off track with us, and this year we celebrate an amazing milestone with Morris, which is 15-years together. Every single partner we have plays an essential role in us going racing.
“Having Niterra back in the family is fantastic, we’ve got a long, storied relationship with them through their NGK Spark Plugs brand, and it’s fantastic to welcome Loctite, Employment Hero, and Under Armour to our team for this season.
“It’s a huge year ahead for Chaz, we came close last year, but it really hurt us all not being in the fight for the championship on the final weekend. The finals format will mix things up this year, which will be extremely exciting for everyone, but we need to start on the right foot to ensure we are in the hunt on the last Sunday.”
Brad Phillips, Ampol General Manager - Business to Business, said: "We are incredibly proud to celebrate 32 years of technical collaboration with Walkinshaw Andretti United.
"Our partnership has always been built on a shared focus on innovation, performance, and an unwavering drive for victory. As we approach the 2025 Supercars Championship season, Mobil 1™ is excited to continue supporting Walkinshaw Andretti United in their pursuit of greatness."
