Erebus drivers reset overseas after Perth rollercoaster
Jack Le Brocq, Cooper Murray tackling Bail fitness retreat
Erebus dropped to 12th in teams' championship in Perth
Erebus Motorsport has opted to make the most of brief break between events with a fitness trip to Bali.
The 2023 champions and two-time Bathurst-winning team endured a tough Bosch Power Tools Perth Super 440, which saw Erebus drop to 12th and last of full-time teams.
Team transporters are travelling from Perth to Darwin ahead of next weekend's event, as part of a 10,000-plus kilometre journey around Australia.
Drivers will use the weekend off to recharge before completing another four-plus hour flight to an event.
Erebus drivers Jack Le Brocq and Cooper Murray, along with team crew, have arrived in Bali for an intense fitness camp.
The drivers are taking time away from racing at a community fitness village, which specialises in the likes of HYROX, weightlifting and kickboxing.
While Erebus sits last of teams, the Chevrolet squad has shown glimpses of raw speed, both drivers scoring top 10 race and qualifying results.
However, Murray's rookie season has been riddled with poor luck, most recently by an engine failure in last Sunday's Perth finale.
Erebus kicked off its 2024 campaign with a podium in Darwin last year, courtesy of Brodie Kostecki. The team also won in 2018 with David Reynolds.
Matt Stone Racing, meanwhile, will make a special appearance with its Gen3 Camaros in Port Hedland this week.
The 2025 season resumes in Darwin on June 20-22. Tickets on sale now.
