Broc Feeney has turned season around off the back of four wins in past six races
133-point swing over Tasmania and Perth has seen 22-year-old steal a march on Will Brown
Feeney has claimed three of five Gen3 wins in Darwin since 2023
Broc Feeney has earned himself a 72-point margin at the head of the Repco Supercars Championship standings off the back of a stunning six-race run, and it could get even stronger at the betr Darwin Triple Crown.
Over the past two rounds in Tasmania and Perth, Feeney has been a class above, claiming four wins, a second, and a fourth in the last six starts - with Feeney launching an incredible 133-point turnaround on teammate Will Brown having been 61 points down entering Tasmania.
The 22-year-old has struck a rich vein of form as he aims to secure a Finals berth by virtue of winning the Repco Sprint Cup, and if history is anything to go by, he could be very hard to stop this weekend in Darwin.
Feeney and Triple Eight have been dominant in Darwin in the Gen3 era, with both team and driver topping the qualifying and finishing averages in the Northern Territory since 2023.
Feeney has never finished a Gen3 race in Darwin without a trophy, claiming three wins in five starts, including a sweep of last year's two-race weekend.
Feeney's average finish at Darwin since 2023 is an incredible 1.6, whilst his average qualifying result is only marginally worse at 2.0.
Triple Eight's combined record with Feeney, Brown, and Shane van Gisbergen is equally imposing, with an average start of 3.5 and an average finish of 2.5.
Feeney is aiming to claim the elusive Triple Crown this weekend, which will be decided on overall points for 2025 and beyond, but is adamant it won't be an easy task.
"I really want to win the Triple Crown, to be honest. I technically, in old terms, won it last year with two wins and pole position in the shootout on Sunday, but they changed the rules. So, it’s something that I really have my eye on – trying to win the Triple Crown," said Feeney.
"But momentum’s the biggest thing right now, and I’m just trying to keep that going. Darwin’s been good to us before, but it doesn’t mean we’re going to be strong there again.
"We’ve just got to continue to work hard, and hopefully we can have another solid weekend.”
The 2025 Repco Supercars Championship continues at the betr Darwin Triple Crown from June 20-22. Tickets for the event are on sale now.
