Brad Jones Racing announces SCT Motorsport split

Brad Jones Racing and SCT Motorsport will part ways at the end of the 2025 Repco Supercars Championship.

SCT Motorsport, owned by SCT Logistics founder Pete Smith, has run out of BJR after purchasing a Teams Racing Charter (formerly Racing Entitlements Contract) from Jason Bright in 2020.

Jack Smith raced the SCT entry between 2020 and 2023, before Jaxon Evans signed on in 2024.

SCT announced before Bathurst that Evans wouldn't return in 2026. Confirmed Thursday, BJR confirmed SCT won't be in its stable, either.

"Brad Jones Racing (BJR) advises that its partnership with SCT Motorsport will conclude at the end of the 2025 Supercars Championship season," BJR said in a team statement.

"SCT Motorsport first joined BJR in the Super2 Series in 2017 before moving into the Supercars main game in 2020.

"With the 2025 season marking the final chapter of the collaboration, BJR wishes the SCT Motorsport program all the best going forward.

"Brad Jones Racing will share details of its 2026 plans in due course."

The SCT TRC was linked to Triple Eight across the weekend in Bathurst, although neither party has made a formal announcement. It comes after Tickford Racing boss Simon Brookhouse shut down links of a marriage with SCT, claiming the links as "absolute rubbish."

Toyota will be represented by two cars at Walkinshaw Andretti United, and three at BJR.

Chaz Mostert and Ryan Wood are contracted for homologation team WAU, while BJR will operate three Toyotas for incumbents Andre Heimgartner and Macauley Jones, and new signing Cameron Hill.
