BJR building new Supras, signs new partners into new era
BJR currently constructing two brand-new Supras, re-shelling third car
Albury squad ran GM cars in Supercars between 2008 and 2025
There’s little time to rest at Brad Jones Racing, which is building two new Toyota GR Supras for the upcoming 2026 Supercars season.
The Albury squad will field three Supras for the new season for returning drivers Andre Heimgartner and Macauley Jones, and recruit Cameron Hill.
The team focused on closing out the season with its four Chevrolet Camaros before work accelerated on its new Toyota program.
BJR confirmed Tuesday that it is currently constructing two brand-new Supras and re-shelling a third car. The latest update comes after the team offered a sneak peek into its first new Toyota in July.
Walkinshaw Andretti United is also set to start the new season with two new Supras, with the team retiring Chaz Mostert's championship-winning Ford chassis.
It comes amid a period of transformation for the team, which will operate as a three-car operation as the SCT Logistics license has moved to Triple Eight Race Engineering.
BJR has announced two new partners in Australian Reinforcing Company (ARC) and Sci-Fleet Toyota, with branding to feature on BJR Toyotas next season.
ARC previously sponsored Hill at Matt Stone Racing, and will feature prominently across Hill’s #14 Supra under a bespoke partnership program.
Also confirmed Tuesday, Sci-Fleet Toyota will join BJR from 2026 in a multi-faceted partnership that will see the dealership’s branding featured prominently across the team's program.
Heimgartner’s fifth season with BJR will come in the familiar colours of R&J Batteries, which also renewed with BJR into 2026.
The new GR Supra will make its Supercars debut at the 2026 season opener at Sydney Motorsport Park on February 20–22.
