Brad Jones Racing reveals new car build
BJR built two new Toyotas for 2026, currently building third
Penrite Racing will debut new car in Darwin
Another new Toyota is set to land on the Supercars grid, with Brad Jones Racing building a new GR Supra.
BJR started 2026 with two brand new Supras for Andre Heimgartner and recruit Cameron Hill, while converting a Chevrolet Camaro for Macauley Jones.
Heimgartner arrested a slow start to 2026 with a stunning victory from pole in Tasmania last month, which was Toyota's third win in just 15 starts in Supercars.
BJR revealed Tuesday that it has commenced work on a third new Toyota chassis.
The Albury team previously received chassis from Gold Coast-based PACE Innovations.
Speaking in a team video, team owner Jones said there is no timeline on the debut of the new car.
"We’ve done the rear roll hoop and we’re slowly piecing it together," Jones said.
"It's really coming along nicely. We don’t have a set time to have this finished.
"It just depends on how much time we get down here, how much stuff we need to manufacture for the cars as we go along."
It comes after Tickford Racing and Erebus Motorsport debuted new cars in Tasmania for Cam Waters and Cooper Murray respectively. Penrite Racing, meanwhile, is set to shake down its new Ford for Kai Allen this week.
The 2026 season resumes in Darwin on June 19-21.
