Aaron Seton to return to Supercars in Enduro Cup
Third-generation racer to partner Cameron Crick in Matt Stone Racing wildcard
2025 marks 60 years since Seton's grandfather Barry won Bathurst 500
The Seton name will return the Repco Bathurst 1000 grid in 2025, with Aaron Seton confirmed to make a surprise return to Supercars competition for the Enduro Cup.
Seton completes the driver line-up in the wildcard entry run by Matt Stone Racing, with the 27-year-old to team up with former Super2 and current GT4 rival Cameron Crick in the #35 Camaro.
The son of two-time Supercars champion Glenn Seton, Aaron hasn't driven in Supercars competition since the 2023 Dunlop Super2 Series, where he finished seventh for Gomersall Motorsport.
Seton also has one prior Bathurst start to go with his three seasons of Super2, finishing 14th in 2022 alongside Jack Le Brocq in an MSR Commodore.
“I’m excited to be back in the Supercars Championship and joining Cam Crick in the MSR Wildcard,” said Seton.
“We have raced each other for a while so it’s cool to join forces and put together a good programme and hopefully get good results at The Bend and Bathurst.
2025 marks the anniversary of two iconic Bathurst moments for the Seton family, with those anniversaries celebrating the highest of highs and the lowest of lows.
“From my side, it’s cool to be a part of Bathurst this year because it’s 60 years since my Pop (Barry Seton) won in 1965 and 30 years since Dad (Glenn Seton) was leading and with nine laps to go the engine let go," Seton added.
“There will be a couple of little cool milestones, so it’s exciting to get back to Mount Panorama and share that experience with Cam, MSR, and all our partners that have jumped onboard.
“It will be my first time experiencing Gen3 cars; we’ve got a test day in mid-August to wrap my head around the cars and get a good feel for it.”
Crick added: Crick said: “I’m stoked to have Aaron locked in. A big thing for me was to have someone with me that has done it before, but also actively racing something."
“Seto is beating me in the GT4 championship, so he’s driving and he’s doing a good job and that’s half the battle these days.
“Looking forward to teaming up; he’s obviously got a knowledge with his Dad and his Pop and he has been around a long time.
“I think we’ll work well together and hopefully we fly under the radar and get some good results.”
A naming rights partner for the Camaro will be announced in due course, whilst Crick returns for his second start of the season at the next event of the season at the Century Batteries Ipswich Super 440.
The announcement officially leaves at one spot on the Enduro Cup grid available, with PremiAir Racing yet to announce a co-driver for Richie Stanaway, though Nash Morris is considered a strong favourite.
That number could grow, with Matt Chahda Motorsport yet to confirm plans for a return to either of the two enduros with their ex-Broc Feeney Camaro, having missed the opening half of the Dunlop Super2 Series.
