For the very first time, Supercars have conducted category testing in a wind tunnel, with both a current Gen3 Chevrolet Camaro and Gen3 Ford Mustang sharing hours of rolling-road time inside the US facility today.

The cars, owned by homologation teams Triple Eight Race Engineering (Chevrolet Camaro) and Dick Johnson Racing (Ford Mustang) are now testing at the Windshear Wind Tunnel Testing Facility in North Carolina.

It was an early start for teams involved, with the first rolling-road test getting underway around 6.30am local time.
