Fans will be able to get up close with both the Gen3 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 and Ford Mustang GT at this year’s Repco Bathurst 1000.

The six-day festival of motorsport begins on Tuesday November 30, with nine support categories featuring through to the Great Race on Sunday December 5.

Both the Gen3 Camaro and Mustang will be officially unveiled on Friday December 3 at Mount Panorama.

Following Friday's special ceremony, the public will be granted access to view the Gen3 cars display within the Supercars paddock.

It comes after the homologation teams completed the first shakedowns of the Camaro and Mustang at Queensland Raceway earlier this month.

Supercars Head of Motorsport Adrian Burgess explained the latest significant milestone for the project.

The Mountain is calling for an epic finale

"This is a proud moment for Supercars and everyone involved in the Gen3 project," Burgess told Supercars.com.

"We have created a garage display where fans can get up close with the two iconic brands representing Chevrolet and Ford.

"To give our fans the opportunity to get up close and personal with the new cars at this year's Repco Bathurst 1000 is something we have been working really hard to achieve."

Fans will be required to hold a valid Trackside ticket to access the event and Paddock Pass to access the Supercars Paddock area. Tickets for the event and camping are on sale now. Paddock tickets are available via Ticketek.

Gen3 cars will carry out on-track exhibitions at events in 2022 before the cars make their racing debut in the 2023 Repco Supercars Championship.

The 2021 Repco Supercars Championship and Dunlop Series seasons will conclude at the Repco Bathurst 1000.

Foxtel’s coverage of the Repco Bathurst 1000 begins at 8:25am AEDT on Wednesday December 1 (Fox Sports 503) and streamed on Kayo.

The Seven Network will provide live free to air coverage of the event. Tickets for the event and camping are on sale now.
