Brad Jones Racing has confirmed Nick Percat will remain with the team for 2022 and beyond.

The team confirmed Wednesday that Percat has signed a “multi-year” deal, making him at least a seven-year BJR driver.

Percat joined the Albury-based squad in 2017, and has recorded two wins and four further podiums.

The 32-year-old scored wins at Sydney Motorsport Park last year en route to a career-best championship finish of seventh.

To next week’s NTI Townsville 500, Percat is just 34 points off sixth in the 2021 standings.

It also ensures the experienced Percat, a veteran of 237 race starts, will lead the team into the Gen3 era.

BJR also released renders of Gen3-style Chevrolet Camaro ZL1s featuring the 2021 liveries of Percat and Macauley Jones’s cars.

Team owner Brad Jones was delighted to lock in his leading driver for next season and beyond.

"I am very excited that Nick and I have agreed to extend his contract with the team, especially as we move forward into this exciting new chapter of motorsport,” Jones said.

"Nick has been an integral part of our team over the last five years and we are seeing the rewards.

"I’m looking forward to continuing the success into this next era.

"We have a great relationship on and off-track and strive for the same goals.

"Nick’s our team leader and means much more to the team than just a driver.

“I'd like to think he would complete his career with BJR."

Percat is set to return to the track at next weekend’s NTI Townsville 500, which will be the sixth round of the 2021 Repco Supercars Championship.
