Tickford Racing has teased a special tribute livery on Cam Waters Monster Energy Ford, paying homage to the late Ken Block.

Legendary American rally driver and motorkhana superstar Block passed away earlier this year in a snowmobile accident.

The motorsport world was quick to pay tribute to Block, whose influence on motorsport also extended into Supercars.

Block, who made famous the #43 and a number of striking livery designs, drove a Ford Performance Racing Ford Falcon in 2011 at Calder Park Raceway.

He also thrilled crowds with demonstrations at the 2013 Adelaide 500, with this weekend’s Adelaide event the 10th anniversary of his epic exploits.

Three days out from track action at the VAILO Adelaide 500, Tickford teased a new livery for Waters’ Mustang, complete with number change to #43.

Waters, who regularly races with the #6, is set to compete with a livery akin to Block’s famous colour schemes, per the teaser.

Block was supported through his career by Monster Energy, which has been the major backer of Waters in Supercars since the Mildura driver debuted in 2016.

The Waters Ford is also set to carry backing from the 43 Institute, a not-for-profit organisation that continues paths of opportunity Block created in action sports, motorsports and creative arts.

Waters will conclude his 2023 Repco Supercars Championship campaign at this weekend’s VAILO Adelaide 500, with track action to commence on Thursday.
