Motorsport properties not for sale, says TWG Global
Walkinshaw TWG Racing joined TWG Motorsports family in 2025
Cadillac F1, IndyCar, NASCAR, Formula E teams also under TWG banner
TWG Global has emphatically moved to state it is not considering the sale of any elements of TWG Motorsport, which includes Walkinshaw TWG Racing.
It was announced last February that Walkinshaw Andretti United would join the TWG family, with Dan Towriss replacing Michael Andretti as Director.
In recent days, it emerged that CEO Mark Walter sold the Los Angeles Lakers, and is understood to be exploring the sale of his stake in English Premier League soccer team Chelsea.
TWG Motorsport is a subsidiary of Walter's TWG Global, and is co-owner of the Cadillac Formula 1 team.
TWG Motorsport’s assets also include Andretti Global – featuring entries in IndyCar and Formula E – Spire Motorsports in NASCAR, Wayne Taylor Racing in IMSA, and Walkinshaw TWG Racing.
"TWG is not considering a sale of the Cadillac team or any other part of TWG Motorsport," a TWG Global statement read.
Walkinshaw TWG Racing, which won the 2025 Supercars drivers’ championship and transitioned to Toyota in 2026, welcomed Scott O’Donnell to the ownership group earlier this year.
The team was rebranded Walkinshaw TWG Racing from 2026 as Zak Brown and United Autosports stepped away from ownership.
The team is on track to get both drivers into the 2026 Supercars Finals, with reigning champion Chaz Mostert eighth and Ryan Wood ninth heading to this weekend’s Ipswich round.
Tickets for the Ipswich round are on sale now.
