Supercars celebrates quarter century partnership with Kenworth
Supercars, Kenworth surpass 25th year of partnership
New Kenworth T620 prime mover delivered to Supercars fleet
Supercars has reaffirmed its long‑standing relationship with Kenworth, announcing the continuation of the partnership through to 2028 and welcoming the delivery of a brand‑new Kenworth T620 prime mover.
The renewed agreement celebrates more than 25 years of collaboration between Supercars and PACCAR Australia.
Powered by a Cummins X15 Euro 6 engine paired with an Eaton Endurant XD Pro 18‑speed transmission, the newly-delivered Kenworth T620 will transport Supercars equipment, course cars, data stations, and more to the Championship’s Australian race events.
The T620 features an upgraded cabin environment with an advanced LED dashboard and enhanced electrical architecture designed to support long‑haul performance and driver comfort.
Distinctive design elements include embroidered door trims, black leather seats featuring the Supercars logo, and custom exhaust shields.
PACCAR Australia Director Sales & Marketing, Michael Long, said the partnership highlights the strength of the relationship between the two organisations.
“Being able to support the Supercars community through extending this valuable partnership for another three years is a testament to the long and proud relationship between both our organisations,” Long said.
As part of Supercars’ heavy transport fleet, the new T620 will support the 2026 Repco Supercars Championship at events in every Australian state as well as the Northern Territory.
Supercars Chief Revenue Officer Jamie Black acknowledged Kenworth’s unwavering commitment to the category for more than a quarter of a century.
“Kenworth has been an essential part of Supercars’ operations for over 25 years, which is a remarkable milestone,” Black said.
“The ongoing support, innovation and commitment to our sport from Kenworth have helped keep the championship moving—literally and figuratively. We are proud to continue this partnership and grateful for their enduring contribution.”
The new Supercars Kenworth T620 will make its debut in the Supercars paddock at the Tyrepower Tasmania Super 440 in May, following this month’s flyaway events in New Zealand.
