Century Batteries set to continue as the Official Battery of Supercars
Partnership extension to take in Century Batteries’ 100th anniversary of Australian manufacturing in 2028
Underlines shared commitment to Australian motorsport, local industry and jobs
Two iconic Australian brands today announced an extension to their partnership, with Supercars and Century Batteries confirming the association will run to the end of the 2030 season.
The renewed agreement will see Century Batteries continue as the Official Battery of Supercars, further strengthening a relationship that commenced in 2019. It will also coincide with Century Batteries’ 100th anniversary in 2028.
Century Batteries will continue to feature across Supercars' broadcast coverage with the Century Batteries Chopper Cam and Century Batteries Drone Cam, delivering spectacular aerial perspectives to fans throughout the season.
Supercars Head of Commercial Craig Dontas said the extension reflected the bond between the two organisations and a shared commitment to Australian motorsport and supporting local industry and talent development.

"Century Batteries is one of Australia's most recognisable and trusted automotive brands and, just like Supercars, dedicated to investing in Australia and promoting local jobs,” Dontas said.
"In addition to these shared values and our valued partnership, Century Batteries has continued to innovate in fan experiences, from event activation and retail engagement to enhanced broadcast integration.
“We are looking forward to delivering exceptional fan experiences through to the next decade while incorporating the company’s centenary celebrations in 2028.”
Shaun O'Brien, Century Yuasa Batteries’ General Manager – Automotive, said the company was delighted to continue its long-standing association with Supercars while showcasing fan-focused elements at and away from the track.
"Supercars represents the pinnacle of Australian motorsport and provides an outstanding platform for Century Batteries to connect with passionate fans, customers and automotive enthusiasts across the country," O'Brien said.
"Century Batteries has a long history in Australia and a very proud commitment to local manufacturing.
“This means strong alignment with Supercars, and we are delighted to extend our partnership to 2030 while bringing our brand’s heritage, passion and innovation to the fore.”
The announcement comes immediately following a successful running of the 2026 Century Batteries Ipswich Super 440, the ninth round of the 2026 Repco Supercars Championship season.
