Ex-Triple Eight tech boss lands Cadillac WEC, IMSA role
Jeromy Moore departed Ford-bound Triple Eight earlier this year
Moore was set to play key role in GM's Supercars future
Former Triple Eight Race Engineering technical boss Jeromy Moore has landed a major role with Cadillac’s sportscar arm.
Moore departed Ford-bound Triple Eight earlier this year, facilitating his release to join General Motors.
Revealed overnight, Moore has been appointed LMDh chief engineer for Cadillac’s IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and FIA World Endurance Championship programs.
Moore oversaw the homologation of the Gen3 Chevrolet Camaro Supercar and remained with Triple Eight through the start of the season.
He was initially touted to spearhead GM’s renewed efforts in Supercars, with Team 18 replacing Triple Eight as the Camaro homologation team.
Moore is no stranger to endurance racing, working with Porsche on its RSR and LMP1 programs. He was race engineer for the 2016 FIA WEC LMP1 World Championship and 24 Hours of Le Mans-winning team.
Based at GM’s Charlotte Technical Center, Moore will report directly to Mark Stielow, GM’s director of motorsports competition programs.
“Jeromy brings extensive motorsports experience to the Cadillac Racing team, and we look forward to benefiting from his technical leadership,” Stielow said.
“The moves reflect the level of resources and investment that GM is making in its global motorsports initiatives.”
Moore added: “As a member of the Cadillac Racing team, I’ll apply my experience across vastly different programs to guide and complement the already strong team to help achieve our ultimate goals of success in Le Mans, across the WEC and IMSA series.”
Triple Eight will resume its 2025 Supercars season at this weekend’s Repco Bathurst 1000.
