Triple Eight pays tribute to GM-bound Jeromy Moore
Triple Eight described Moore as a “once in a lifetime mastermind”
Outgoing technical director Moore is departing Triple Eight for GM
Triple Eight Race Engineering has paid tribute to departing technical director Jeromy Moore, who will play a key role in General Motors’ Supercars future.
Moore is departing Triple Eight for GM, which signed the tech guru following the team’s decision to move to Ford.
He was among the few working at Briggs Motor Sport when it was bought by a group led by Roland Dane in late 2003.
Moore remained a key figure at Triple Eight across the next two decades, save for a five-year stint with Porsche in Germany.
He will spearhead the technical side of GM’s new-look Supercars program, with Team 18 signing on as homologation team.
In a social media post, Triple Eight described the engineer as a “once in a lifetime mastermind”.
“We are extremely privileged to have had JJ with us here at Triple Eight,” the team posted.
“Through multiple stints over 22 years, and the overseeing of the Gen3 product, JJ is a once in a lifetime mastermind.
“We are sure he will do great things for the General Motors brand going forward and we wish him the best of luck with all his future endeavours.”
The team currently leads the drivers' and teams' championships, with Broc Feeney in a commanding position to clinch the Repco Sprint Cup in Ipswich on August 8-10.
