  • Jeromy Moore to depart Triple Eight post to join GM

  • Moore has been key part of Triple Eight for over 20 years

General Motors has made a big statement by signing Triple Eight Race Engineering Technical Director Jeromy Moore.

Confirmed by Triple Eight on Monday, Moore will depart the Queensland squad the near future to take up a role with GM in the United States.

Moore worked at Triple Eight as an engineer between 2003 and 2014, before completing a five-year stint in Germany with Porsche.

His time at Porsche included working on the marque's World Endurance Championship prototype and GT programs, notably race-engineering a Le Mans 24 Hours victory in 2016, before returning to Triple Eight in 2020.

Moore is now set to a key part of GM's future in Supercars amid the company's split with Triple Eight, which will race Fords from 2026.

Moore was a key part in homologating the Chevrolet Camaro Gen3 Supercar in his second stint with Triple Eight.

Triple Eight’s Head of Performance, Peter Ringwood, is set to take over the role once vacated by Moore.

The news comes just days after confirmation that KRE Race Engines will extend its contract to be GM's engine supplier to Chevrolet teams.

GM also secured the future of brand ambassador Craig Lowndes, who will depart Triple Eight at the end of 2025.

In 2026, Lowndes could make his first non-Triple Eight race start in Supercars since 2004 should he opt to return to the Mountain.

Triple Eight will resume its 2025 Supercars campaign in Melbourne this weekend.
