Triple Eight extends Live Pit Lane advantage, DJR drops

A dominant Tasmania has helped Triple Eight Race Engineering retain Live Pit Lane honours for the upcoming Bosch Power Tools Perth Super 440.

Triple Eight turned a 26-point deficit into a 165-point lead over Tickford Racing in Melbourne, and in the next two rounds, has opened up a huge 342-point lead.

Broc Feeney won both Saturday races and missed out on Sunday by 0.05s to Matt Payne, with the Triple Eight star taking home 304 of a maximum 315 points. Teammate and reigning champ Will Brown was third for the round, out-scored by 96 points by Feeney.

Tickford Racing and Walkinshaw Andretti United remain second and third, but Penrite Racing was the biggest mover in Tasmania courtesy of Payne's big Sunday win.

Penrite Racing jumped up two spots to fourth, and is just 20 points behind WAU.

WAU was stung by a shocker for Chaz Mostert, who failed to score a top 10 at a multi-race weekend for the first time since Perth 2022, and was a lowly 18th for the round.

The Ford team's jump dropped Dick Johnson Racing and Matt Stone Racing one place each, with DJR punished for an awful weekend that saw both cars 23rd and 24th for the weekend.

Brad Jones Racing and PremiAir Racing also moved up the standings thanks to strong weekends; Jaxon Evans was an impressive ninth for the round and lead BJR driver, with James Golding and Richie Stanaway fourth and fifth for PremiAir on Sunday.

The 2025 Repco Supercars Championship will resume in Western Australia at the Bosch Power Tools Perth Super 440 on June 6-8. Tickets for the event are on sale now.
