Second Taupō Supercars event headlined by first ever Super 440 event
Dual 120km races on Saturday, followed by 200km Sunday race
Supercars has confirmed the track schedule for the upcoming ITM Taupō Super 440, which marks the championship’s return to Taupō International Motorsport Park and the debut of a new-for-2025 format.
After a hugely successful first trip to Taupō in 2024, which saw over 60,000 fans flock to the picturesque circuit, Supercars will return on April 11-13.
Tickets for the April 11-13 event are selling fast, so don't miss your chance to see Supercars on track at New Zealand's only championship event in 2025.
The event will be highlighted by the first ever Super 440, which is a new format for the 2025 Repco Supercars Championship.
The Super 440 will be headlined by dual 120km races on Saturday April 12, and a 200km race on Sunday.
A bumper support category line-up will also compete at the event, with NZ-based racers from Central Muscle Cars, Toyota 86 and Super V8s set to take to the track.
Supercars will be on track on all three days of the event, with two practice sessions set for Friday April 11.
There will be two knockout Boost Mobile Qualifying sessions on Saturday to determine the grids for Races 8 and 9, while Qualifying will be followed by a Boost Mobile Top Ten Shootout on Sunday.
The Taupō round is the first of five Super 440 rounds in 2025, along with Tasmania, Perth, Darwin and Ipswich.
It is also the third of eight rounds in the Repco Sprint Cup, following the Thrifty Sydney 500 - Opening Round and MSS Security Melbourne SuperSprint.
The ITM Taupō Super 440 will be broadcast live on Foxtel and Kayo in Australia, on Sky Sport in New Zealand, and on Superview for international viewers.
