Super2 Series rookie Max Geoghegan will campaign a bright livery on his Holden ZB Commodore in 2025.

Geoghegan, the grandson of five-time Australian Touring Car Champion Ian 'Pete' Geoghegan, will race in an expanded three-car Erebus Academy effort to be run by Image Racing.

The Sydneysider will join incumbent Erebus juniors Jobe Stewart and Jarrod Hughes in a third ZB Commodore for the upcoming season, which begins in Sydney on February 21-23.

Geoghegan won the Toyota GAZOO Racing Australia Scholarship Series in 2024, will carry Vellozzi Auctions branding on his #53 Commodore this year.

The Image Commodore was last raced by Supercars champion Will Brown in 2022, having been repaired after a major incident at Pukekohe.

Geoghegan is currently testing at Winton Motor Raceway alongside his Erebus/Image teammates, as well as the likes of Eggleston Motorsport and Brad Jones Racing.

“I look forward to the challenge ahead and believe I am in the best place to tackle it head-on. We have worked well together so far, and I can’t wait to get hands-on and into the thick of it," Geoghegan said at the time of his signing. “Erebus Academy has such a strong history of nurturing talent, and it’s exciting to be a part of that journey. This is the perfect environment to develop as a driver, and I’m ready to give it my all and see where it takes me.”

The 2025 Super2 Series kicks at the Thrifty Sydney 500 - Opening Round from February 21-23. Tickets to the event are on sale now.
