The first domino of the 2025 Supercars silly season has officially fallen, with confirmation this morning that Cameron Hill will depart Matt Stone Racing at the end of the season.
Although widely expected for several weeks, the move now could spark plenty of movement in the driver market, with as many as nine of the 24 seats up for grabs for the 2026 season.
We started to get our first indications of when announcements would be made at The Bend, with key silly season players Peter Xiberras (PremiAir Racing) and Tim Blanchard revealing their timelines for key driver decisions.
However, this morning's announcement could potentially move the needle, and trigger more announcements in the leadup to the Repco Bathurst 1000.
Supercars.com takes a look at what further twists are yet to come in the Supercars driver market.
What does it mean for the driver market?

With Hill officially not returning to MSR, the path has now been cleared for the Canberran to link up with Brad Jones Racing, where he is likely to replace Bryce Fullwood in the #14.
BJR will now have two race winners at their disposal for next season, with Hill set to combine with Andre Heimgartner in the #8/#14 garage in the team's new Toyota era.
Macauley Jones is yet to have any deal to continue at BJR made official, however comments from Brad Jones in Townsville strongly suggested that will be a mere formality.
In the customer SCT Motorsport entry, the final decision lies with the SCT camp of license owners the Smith family and Head of Motorsport Programs Andrew Jones, however all signs point to Jaxon Evans remaining for a third season.
It's anticipated that Hill's departure is the first stage of a busy off-season for MSR, despite Nick Percat having signed a contract extension in the midst of his double race-winning 2024 campaign through to the end of the 2027 season.
Whilst that is still officially the case, rumours have continued to heat up over recent weeks that Percat is also on the outer after what has been a difficult 2025 campaign, and will make way at the end of the year.

Percat isn't the only contracted driver looking set to depart their current team, as PremiAir Racing also look set to cut ties with Richie Stanaway, who had an option on his contract for 2026.
PremiAir are another squad set for a double change, with James Golding also likely to depart, and names such as WAU co-driver Jayden Ojeda and 2022 Super2 champion Declan Fraser being touted as a potential 2026 line-up.
Team owner Peter Xiberras also went on the record at the AirTouch 500 at The Bend to suggest that there could yet be a further twist if any of the other young gun co-drivers impress at Bathurst.
Jack Le Brocq is also likely to be on the move at the end of the year, with his contract at Erebus expiring after a tough season in the #9 entry.
After a starring debut at The Bend, long-time Erebus Academy prospect Jobe Stewart is likely to get promoted next year, with Le Brocq firming for a return to MSR.
Another driver who has had a difficult campaign is David Reynolds, however after suggestions he could move on earlier this season, it's now considered likely that Team 18 will take an option on his services for 2026.
Finally, there's Blanchard Racing Team, who will have at least one new driver in their stable next season after James Courtney retires at the end of this year.
James Golding has emerged as a favourite to take Courtney's spot for 2026, whilst Tim Blanchard has thrown his weight behind rookie Aaron Cameron on several occasions, and is thought to want to keep the 25-year-old for a second season.
