Mixed tyre compound racing will return in 2022, with this year’s Repco Supercars Championship tyre allocation confirmed.
There will be three mixed tyre compound events this year, starting with the season opener in Sydney.
The Beaurepaires Sydney SuperNight will also be the first of five events in 2022 to feature Dunlop’s revamped Super Soft tyre.

The Super Soft will also feature in Tasmania, Winton, Darwin and Townsville.
The Symmons Plains, Winton and Hidden Valley rounds will solely be run on the Super Soft tyre.
The Townsville round, which will be headlined by two 250km races, will be run on Super Soft and Hard tyres.
The Perth, Tailem Bend, Sandown, Surfers Paradise and Newcastle events will all be run on the Soft tyre.
Pukekohe and Bathurst will be run on the Hard tyre.
The Albert Park event will be a mixed compound Hard and Soft event.
Mixed compound racing will return in Sydney
All six Dunlop Super2 Series rounds will be run on the Hard tyre.
Mixed format racing made a triumphant return last year at the fourth Sydney event, which featured two 250km races.
This year’s 300km Sydney event will feature three compulsory pit stops in each race instead of two.
The 500km Townsville event sees each driver given 24 hard tyres and eight super softs.
Seven events will feature ARMOR ALL Top Ten Shootouts; Sydney, Darwin, Townsville, Sandown, Bathurst, Gold Coast and Newcastle.
Those five events will also feature refuelling; the four Super500/600 events feature 140L drops.
The sprint events, bar Albert Park, will be headlined by three sprint races.
The Albert Park round will feature four 100km-long races and a four-tyre minimum change at stops.
The other sprint rounds will again feature a compulsory stop for a minimum of two tyres.
Two rounds will feature racing under lights, being the Sydney season opener and Perth.
The Tasmania, Perth, Winton, Darwin, Tailem Bend and Pukekohe rounds will all be two-day, Saturday-Sunday events.
All events, bar Sandown and Bathurst, will feature two practice sessions.
The Sandown round will feature an Additional Driver session in preparation for the Repco Bathurst 1000.
