Tickford Racing will add a third Ford Mustang to its All Stars team for the final round of the

Cash Converters Supercars Eseries.

Williams Racing Formula One team reserve driver Jack Aitken has been confirmed as a wildcard entry for Wednesday night's season finale.

Aitken, a winner in GP3 and Formula 2, has spent the last four seasons as a reserve driver for multiple F1 teams.

The 26-year-old made his F1 debut with Williams at the 2020 Sakhir Grand Prix.

The London-based driver is currently recovering from fractures to his collarbone and a vertebra that he suffered in a multi-car accident in a Spa 24-hour race in August.

Born in England and carrying dual British and Korean citizenship, Aitken struck up a friendship with Tickford Racing driver Thomas Randle back in 2016 when the pair raced in the Formula V8 3.5 Series.

Aitken will join the All Stars grid on Wednesday night at New York's famous NASCAR circuit, Watkins Glen.

"I’m looking forward to getting amongst it with the Supercars guys," Aitken said.

"I’ve been following Supercars a fair bit as Tom [Randle] has risen up the ranks there, and when he asked if I’d want to race in the Eseries I thought, ‘Why not?’

"Supercars is obviously quite different to the cars I’ve driven lately but it’s a cool beast and fun to drive.

"It’s been a while since I’ve raced for real so it’ll be great to go toe-to-toe with other real racing drivers, even on the virtual track, it should be a fun night."

Aitken will take the reins of the #89 Truck Assist Ford Mustang.

Jack Le Brocq and Cameron Waters will take up their regular posts in the All Stars series for Tickford.

Fellow Tickford Racing drivers Randle and Zak Best will also take part in the finale.
