De Pasquale and Slade on the pace: Sydney speed breakdown

Anton De Pasquale was again the fast man over one lap in Sydney, but Tim Slade's late Race 28 burst helped him to the quickest race lap times.

De Pasquale scored two poles and two wins at the BP Ultimate Sydney SuperSprint.

Sydney Motorsport Park was 0.4s faster than the previous week over one lap.

De Pasquale's practice and qualifying bests were 0.402s and 0.401s faster respectively than the previous week's bests.

De Pasquale and Jamie Whincup were the only drivers to clock laps in the 1:28s bracket on the weekend.

Whincup made the most of clean air to claim his 92nd career pole on Sunday morning, but couldn't convert in the race.

Race 28 honours went to Erebus Motorsport rookie Will Brown, who held off Whincup and van Gisbergen in a thriller.

Behind them was Slade, who bolted on four fresh tyres for a final run home in the race.

Slade put the extra grip and speed in his #3 CoolDrive Mustang to good use, setting four of the top seven quickest race laps of the weekend.

Brown's 1:30.479, set early in Race 20, remains the quickest race lap time.

This weekend's final Sydney event, weather pending, could see the quickest race lap times of all four Sydney events.

The Beaurepaires Sydney SuperNight will feature the Dunlop Super Soft compound, which was first used in Darwin in June.

Race 29 will be held on Saturday night; teams will be allocated one set of the Super Soft compound for each race.

The 2021 Repco Supercars Championship will resume this weekend at the Beaurepaires Sydney SuperNight.

Every session of the event will be broadcast live on Foxtel (Fox Sports 506) and streamed on Kayo.

The Seven Network will provide live free to air coverage of the event.
