Jamie Whincup to be inducted into Motorsport Australia Hall of Fame
Seven-time Supercars champion widely regarded as greatest Supercars driver of all-time
Whincup to be officially inducted next Thursday at Australian Grand Prix
Jamie Whincup will add another accolade to his illustrious CV, as he is set to be inducted into the Motorsport Australia Hall of Fame next week.
Whincup, who is widely considered to be the greatest Supercars driver of all-time, has been announced as one of six inductees for 2026, having become eligible after stepping away from co-driving duties following the 2025 Repco Bathurst 1000.
His career stats are unrivalled, boasting 125 career wins, seven championship wins, and four wins in the Bathurst 1000.
Whincup retired from full-time driving at the end of the 2021 season, and remained one of sport's most elite and fastest co-drivers right up until his most recent start at Bathurst last year.
The 43-year-old has kept the door open to a return to the co-driver's seat, however replacement Nick Percat will join Broc Feeney in the #88 Mustang for the next two enduro seasons.
His race and championship win markers will remain for years to come, and he remains a successful force in Supercars today as Managing Director of Triple Eight Race Engineering and Team Principal at Red Bull Ampol Racing.
Whincup becomes the first Supercars champion to be inducted into the Motorsport Australia Hall of Fame since Marcos Ambrose in 2019.
Whincup will officially be inducted to the Hall of Fame next Thursday at the Formula 1 QATAR AIRWAYS Australian Grand Prix.
The Repco Supercars Championship will also take to the track Thursday, kicking off their second round of 2026 at the Melbourne SuperSprint.
