Cam Waters says he "felt a bit robbed" by his Race 11 penalty.
Waters crossed the line first in Sunday’s first race, but was classified fourth.
The Tickford Racing driver engaged in battle with Will Davison after the former’s stop.
A Davison overtake attempt saw Waters run wide at Turn 7 and rejoin ahead.
Waters was later hit with a five-second time penalty for gaining a lasting advantage.
An irate Waters spoke briefly after the race, with team boss Tim Edwards also left fuming.
Waters later finished seventh in Race 12, which was won by Shane van Gisbergen.
Van Gisbergen defeated Waters’ teammate James Courtney.
"I have nothing more to say about that, I felt a bit robbed," Waters said.
"The second race today, I kind of got stuck behind a few cars but just wasn’t quite quick enough to pass them.
"We ended up seventh, but I’m super pumped for JC.
"We had a really good weekend as a whole, and it’s great for the team to move forward in the teams’ championship.
"I’m up to fourth now as well, so not a bad weekend."
Edwards remained firm on his view on the incident, but turned attention to Courtney’s "hugely gratifying” podium.
"It’s hard to summarise today concisely, it was one extreme to the other," Edwards said.
"In the first race, we have a pretty clear opinion on what happened with Cam and Will, at least I made it pretty clear on the broadcast.
"Seeing the reaction from the fans, drivers, and other teams we certainly aren’t alone in that thinking.
"But while that was hugely frustrating, seeing JC lead the second race and come home P2 was hugely gratifying.
"He obviously deserved that podium at the Grand Prix and has been driving really well.
"Scaff made the ballsy call to pit early, and it just about paid off massively, but it was a much sweeter way to end the day."
Waters is now fourth in the points heading to the next round at Winton.
