Broc Feeney pips Anton De Pasquale at pre-enduro test day
Championship leader goes quickest in interrupted morning session
Blanchard co-driver Zak Best ran off the road at Turn 3
Repco Sprint Cup winner Broc Feeney emerged quickest in an interrupted morning session at the official pre-Ryco Enduro Cup test at Queensland Raceway.
All 27 cars and 54 drivers are featuring at the Ipswich venue for testing, two days after the Century Batteries Ipswich Super 440.
Tuesday's running isn't about lap times; rather, it's a crucial chance for teams and drivers to bed in co-drivers and processes ahead of the longest races of the season.
However, through four hours of running in the morning, the #88 Red Bull Ampol Chevrolet ended as it did on Sunday, on top of the time sheets.
It was marginal, however, with Feeney’s 1:09.1161s just 0.0282s quicker than Team 18 star Anton De Pasquale’s long-standing benchmark.
James Courtney/Jack Perkins (#7 Snowy River Caravans Ford), Andre Heimgartner/Declan Fraser (#8 R&J Batteries Chevrolet) and Ryan Wood/Jayden Ojeda) #2 Mobil 1 Truck Assist Ford) rounded out the top five.
The only major off during the session was by Zak Best, with the Blanchard Racing Team driver running off the road at Turn 3.
Walkinshaw Andretti United driver Ryan Wood led through the opening 45 minutes with a 1:09.2777s, before De Pasquale jumped ahead with a 1:09.2125s.

Just as Brad Jones Racing's Heimgartner moved to a second with a 1:09.2492s, De Pasquale moved further ahead with a 1:09.1443s, with Blanchard Racing Team veteran Courtney behind on a 1:09.2302s.
Feeney sat fourth with a 1:09.2701s through two hours, with the session suspended just minutes later when Best ran off at Turn 3.
After the session resumed, the Feeney/Jamie Whincup car and both PremiAir Racing Chevrolets dropped off timing, although they continued to log laps.
With 36 minutes to go, Feeney logged a 1:09.1161s, which was just 0.0282s quicker than De Pasquale. Whincup then took over the #88 Red Bull Ampol Camaro for the remainder of the session.
There was little movement in the final half hour, with Macauley Jones jumping Will Brown into fifth with a 1:09.3016s with 13 minutes to go on what was his car's 98th lap of the morning.
The Bryce Fullwood/Brad Vaughan (#14 Brad Jones Racing Chevrolet) entry recorded the most laps in the four-hour session with 110, with nine cars logging 100 or more laps.
The Cooper Murray/Jobe Stewart Erebus Motorsport entry logged the fewest with 59.
There will be a half-hour lunch break at 12:30pm local time, followed by an hour-long fuel stop practice window between 1:00pm and 2:00pm.
