Ryan Wood leads Will Brown as Ryco Enduro Cup test gets underway
All 27 cars and 54 drivers are on deck at Queensland Raceway
Tuesday test is the only official pre-Ryco Enduro Cup hit out
The sole pre-Ryco Enduro Cup test day is underway, with Ryan Wood leading reigning champion Will Brown early at Queensland Raceway.
All 27 cars and 54 drivers are on deck at Queensland Raceway for the only official pre-Ryco Enduro Cup hit out.
Through the opening 30 minutes, Walkinshaw Andretti United driver Wood led the times with a 1:09.2777s, ahead of Brown (1:09.3375s), Macauley Jones (1:09.3644s) and Chaz Mostert (1:09.3724s).
Tuesday's running isn't about lap times; rather, it's a vital chance for teams and drivers to bed in processes ahead of the longest and most important races of the season.
It's also a big chance for co-drivers to get laps, although some teams will still be looking for performance gains.
The all-in test on Tuesday will be followed by a sponsor ride day on a Wednesday. The test day is not open to the public.
Supercars return to racing in South Australia for the Airtouch 500 at The Bend, followed by Australia’s Great Race, the Repco Bathurst 1000.
