Formula 1 has announced the Australian Grand Prix will remain in Melbourne until 2035.

The new 10-year agreement will commence from 2025.

The Repco Supercars Championship has raced alongside F1 at Albert Park since the venue’s 1996 debut.

Supercars has raced for points on the Albert Park streets since 2018.

This year’s event attracted over 419,000 fans across the four days.

It came on a revamped, faster Albert Park layout.

Chaz Mostert and Shane van Gisbergen shared the four race wins.

F1 also announced that, for the first time, Formula 2 and Formula 3 will join the race weekend schedule from 2023.

A date for the 2023 event will be made in due course.

“I am delighted to confirm that Melbourne and the Albert Park circuit will continue to be on the Formula 1 calendar until 2035,” F1 President and CEO Stefano Domenicali said.

"The race has always been a favourite for the fans, drivers and the teams and Melbourne is an incredible and vibrant international city that is a perfect match for our sport.

"This year we saw huge crowds and passionate fans at the Grand Prix, and we are very excited by the future in Australia as our sport continues to grow."

The 2022 Repco Supercars Championship will resume at Hidden Valley Raceway this weekend.
