From Saturday night’s incredible line up of music acts Tones And I, G Flip and Cyril, to the annual transporter parade and first ever Townsville Track to Town event – this year’s NTI Townsville 500 is one of the biggest on record both on and off track.
While Supercars and support categories including the Dunlop Series will go head to head on track, this year’s event is packed with a variety of thrilling off-track entertainment to keep fans of all kinds engaged all week long.
Wednesday July 3
NTI Transporter Parade
Supercars return to North Queensland in 2024 will kick off with the annual NTI Transporter Parade on Wednesday 3 July, when transporters carrying more than $25 million dollars’ worth of Supercars will make their way to the circuit through the streets of Townsville.
The transporters will begin their journey from 12pm local time, with fans encouraged to line the streets from Ingham Road onto Percy Street, over the George Roberts Bridge, past the Central Park Fan Zone and Stadium and into the circuit.
Thursday July 4
Track to Town
For the first time ever, all 24 championship Supercars will drive through the streets of Townsville, in a parade where thousands of fans are expected to line the streets and cheer on their favourites.
Supercars will drive out of the circuit and onto city streets as they make their way to the autograph session. Full details of route and timings on Supercars.com
Free Autograph Session
At the completion of the Track to Town, all Supercars drivers will be at Jezzine Barracks on Townsville’s famous Strand from 5pm – 5:50pm.
Fans are encouraged to come along and get up close with the entire field of Supercars and their favourite drivers, before they return to the Reid Park circuit at 5:50pm.
At the circuit
Torque Alley (new for 2024)
Torque Alley is set to become a fan favourite, showcasing some of Australia’s most iconic motorsport vehicles alongside elite and exotic display cars.
Fans can discover high-performance, one-off vehicles and hot rods, including the famous Ken Block’s Ford Fiesta from Gymkhana Five, Victor Bray's iconic Castrol '57 Chev, and custom cars from the Castlemaine Rod Shop.
This is a fantastic opportunity to chat with the owners and get up close with these incredible machines.
NTI Car Giveaway Competition
One lucky fan will drive away in a brand-new car, courtesy of NTI.
Fans need to visit the NTI merchandise alley display and enter for a chance to win.
Beach Bar
The Caught Fk All Fishing Club Experience is a unique Beach Bar located at Turn 7, crafted entirely from sand.
In collaboration with the Mad Huey’s, the Caught Fk All Fishing Club offers a vibrant beachside vibe right in the heart of the track.
Fans can enjoy the rooftop area, adding a fun and quintessentially Townsville touch to the event.
Helicopter Flights with Nautilus Aviation
For an unparalleled view of the circuit and Townsville, fans can take to the skies with helicopter flights, in partnership with Nautilus Aviation. Fans can experience the thrill of seeing the race from above
ADF Displays
Supercars is honoured to feature displays from the Australian Defence Force once again at the NTI Townsville 500. Fans can get up close with ADF vehicles and personnel and keep an eye out for Courage - the Wedge Tailed Eagle, who serves as mascot of Townsville’s 2nd Cavalry Regiment.
Hayden and Mitch Pullen's aerobatics and drift show
The dynamic father and son duo, Hayden and Mitch Pullen, will be back with their spectacular aerial aerobatics and drift show.
The displays will take place throughout various times of the event, across all three days of the NTI Townsville 500.
Ferris Wheel and Dodgem Cars
Fans can unwind with a ride on the Ferris Wheel or a fun-filled session on the dodgem cars that will be on offer to ride inside the general admission area of the track precinct.
