The 2024 dates have been confirmed for one of the Territory’s biggest and most popular events, the betr Darwin Triple Crown Supercars Indigenous Round, from 14-16 June.

As the official Supercars Indigenous Round, the 2024 betr Darwin Triple Crown will again celebrate and showcase Indigenous culture and the Larrakia land on which the event takes place at Hidden Valley Raceway.

A fan favourite of the Supercars Championship, the betr Darwin Triple Crown will enter its 26th year following another bumper year in 2023 where more than 42,000 attendances were recorded across the event.

Independent research demonstrates the 2023 event generated a total expenditure stimulus in the Northern Territory of $27.6 million, of which $21.7 million was new money to the Territory.

This was a massive driver for tourism, with almost 50 per cent of those who attended travelling from interstate, with 75,393 visitor nights across the Territory.

More than 83 per cent of Territorians surveyed agreed or strongly agreed the betr Darwin Triple Crown made them proud to be a Territorian, while more than 80 per cent of visitors agreed or strongly agreed that their experience enhanced their perception of Darwin and made them more likely to want to visit again.

Chief Minister and Minister for Major Events, Natasha Fyles said: “The Darwin Triple Crown Supercars Indigenous Round is a huge event that attracts thousands of people to the Territory every year. 

"Once they’re here, they enjoy not only all the action on the track, but everything else the Territory has to offer, from our unique tourism experiences and incredible sunsets to our rich and ancient Aboriginal culture, which is showcased at the event itself.

The event is delivered by Northern Territory Major Events Company, and the team is busy designing another massive motorsports weekend.”
